Poland

The Franco-Polish Roundtable on heritage and territorial development was organized by the Embassy of France in Poland and ANVPAH & VSSP. This meeting materialized requests set at the meeting of March 2009.

These meetings led to:

  • Provide the legal framework for heritage protection in Poland and France: inventory of the legislation and protection devices and enhancement of heritage
  • Discuss the links between heritage enhancement and tourism development
  • Develop job prospects for 2010

The present Polish cities are interested to renew these meetings and discussions in order to develop the following:

  • Networking of cities in the territory
  • The process of enhancement and awareness to all public (residents, tourists, young audience)
  • Training of local architects and urban decision makers about heritage issues
