Veles

In the heart of Macedonia, at the intersection of three rivers (Topolka, Babuna and Vardar), Veles is a very exceptional site.

The city of Veles knew his urban development from the fourteenth and until the nineteenth century. His old center have a rich architecture. Veles was also a impportant commercial center for merchants, and later an industrial center, serving as transit point for caravans. The city is known for its great writers, such as the poet Ratcin.
